Alphaville is a Manchester promoter and microlabel. Born in 2016 on DIY ethics and community-first values, it has established itself as an important platform for artists operating outside mainstream channels.

The project emerged partly in response to Manchester's shifting cultural landscape, where developments like Manctopia have come to symbolise the commercialisation of the city's musical heritage. Alphaville instead focuses on documenting grassroots creativity and the communities continuing to push Manchester's music culture forward, while also curating events with established artists from further afield to foster dialogue between local and touring acts.
Past events include: The Vaselines, Immersion, MEKONS, Swell Maps C21, Sounds From The Other City, Fat Out Fest, BAS JAN, MEMORIALS, Acid Klaus, Lonelady, Jim E. Brown, Abstract Concrete, Bathing Suits, Giulio Erasmus, Dancer, Death & Vanilla, HOUSE OF ALL, The Raincoats, Geo, Co-Pilot, The Pastels, Damo Suzuki, Go-Kart Mozart, Eric Random, Mia La Metta, The Wave Pictures, Ut, Drahla, Nape Neck, Calvin Johnson, Omni, Big Joanie, The Monochrome Set, The Rebel, Pip Blom, The Early Mornings, The Spook School, The Ex, James Chance, DUDS, Handle, Rattle, Cowtown, Boyracer, Kaputt, Current Affairs, Bilge Pump, Roxy Girls, Ana da Silva & Phew, Girls in Synthesis, GNOD, Spectres, Pictish Trail and many more.
